Knowledge. Safety. Science.

An independent, non-profit Finnish society for people who use — or are considering — incretin-based peptide therapies. We exist to inform, to protect, and to connect people with healthcare professionals. We sell nothing.

  • Non-profit
  • Non-commercial
  • Evidence-first

Tiede, joka näkyy · Science made visible

The society does not sell or supply medicines, does not endorse commercial brands, and does not make medical claims. Educational content only — it never replaces the advice of your physician.

Mikä seura on

A society, not a store.

Suomen Peptiditerveysseura is a Finnish non-profit association currently in formation (perustettava rekisteröity yhdistys). It is being founded by patients, healthcare professionals and researchers who believe that the public conversation around therapeutic peptides — such as GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonists — deserves calm, rigour and honesty.

These therapies have changed many lives, and they have also generated noise: miracle promises, grey-market products, unsupervised use. Our answer is neither hype nor alarm. It is education grounded in evidence, plain-language guidance on safe and responsible use, and a constant, explicit message: your treatment belongs in the hands of you and your physician.

  • Independent

No pharmaceutical funding, no product sales, no sponsored content. Ever.

  • Evidence-first

We summarise peer-reviewed research and official Finnish and EU guidance — and we say so when the evidence is uncertain.

  • Care-connected

Every resource points back to the healthcare system. We orient people towards professionals; we never replace them.

Tiedon pilarit

Four pillars of peptide literacy.

Everything we publish hangs from these four questions. Clear answers, sources cited, no shortcuts.

01

What therapeutic peptides are

How incretin-based medicines work in the body, what they were developed for, and what they can and cannot do — explained in plain Finnish and English, without marketing language.

Fundamentals
02

Responsible use & medical follow-up

Why prescription, dosing and regular monitoring by a physician matter, what safe storage and handling look like, and why grey-market or compounded products are a real risk.

Safety
03

Myths vs. evidence

We take the loudest claims circulating on social media and hold them against peer-reviewed research — openly showing what is supported, what is exaggerated, and what is simply unknown.

Evidence
04

When to talk to your doctor

Signals that call for professional attention, how to prepare for an appointment, and how to have an honest conversation about a treatment you are using or considering.
